A solid start for a full game.

Cool game! This reminds me a lot of "Into the Eagles Nest" on the ol' C=64. Ah, those were the days.

You have obviously put a good chunk of time into this game. The controls are solid and the graphics and sounds are well put together. Overall, I like it a lot. Of course, I have a few complaints / ideas as well.

1. It's only one level. Just when I was really getting into the game, it ends. More levels would be great.

2. Unlimited ammo? Hm. A different difficulty setting with limited ammo would be great. How about being able to pick up more ammo? You could really tweak the levels with a feature like this.

3. The enemies were really dumb. I know how hard it is to program good AI, but perhaps something can be done to make them a little smarter. You can't really sneak up on them much either. A simple line of sight/proximity alert system could be pretty sweet.

Those ideas aside, you have a good game here. I hope you continue to make more!

Good game but slow moving.

Nice game, nice graphics. The time could be cut in half, also maybe make it harder by having a requirement for minimum number of words. Also to make it clear how many rounds there are, have the word appear, and being able to hit enter instead of having to click on OK would be convenient. My score was 1,929. Overall fun game. Good job!

Fun and addicting.

I have always been partial to games with lots of power-up goals, and this game does not disappoint. The different weapons are interesting and fairly varied.

The sound gets repetitive very quickly and I am a little confused at the inconsistency of the graphics (half 3D and half hand drawn). The animation could have used a little more work, but overall what you have creates a solid game.

Also, at a later point in the game it becomes almost impossible to lose. I can just sit here and watch my auto defenses take out all the incoming hostiles with only an occasional air strike. I think the game needs a little more testing and tweaking but it's very good and I can't seem to stop playing. Sweet.

I've never been partial to fighting games, so it's really no surpirse that this game didn't tickle my gaming bone one bit.

As the fighting game genre goes, this one appears to only have one really interesting thing going for it. Instant replay. Sure it's neat, but other than that, I'm really not very impressed.

The graphics might look better if you just left them as 3-d images instead of making them into "Flashed" sprites. The sounds effects are okay, but some background music would help a lot. The choice of several fighters and the playfield background is a nice addition, but I feel the time spent adding those options could have been better spent elsewhere. For instance, isn't kinda lame that I can beat my opponent by just holding duck and kick. Sizing up the game would be nice too. It's hard to really see what the heck is going on without dropping my monitor resolution drastically.

Anyway, I don't mean to rip on Stay Alive too much. I've never built a fighting game and I'm sure a lot of work went into building this. You obviously have some good Flash talent.

Addictive.

Great game concept.

I love the idea and the follow-through is a solid piece of work. The art, graphics and animation side of things leaves a little to be desired, but overall, this is a very enjoyable, very playable game.

The game setup options are a nice touch too.

It'd be cool to have a high score list, or a tally of played games of some kind.

Fun but repetitive

Pretty neat game you have there. I like the concept overall, but I feel there is still lots of room for improvement.

1. The copter flies kinda wierd because it doesn't ever level out. Why would it ever be able to touch down without having the copter level?

2. Why is there even the option to turn the copter on and off? There's no fuel guage, so who cares? Am I missing something here?

3. Having some other types of cars or some other obstacles would be nice. The game never really gets much harder since you can hang out on the landing pad and be perfectly safe from everything.

I like the store and buying all kinds of stuff to help me on my traffic rampage. It'd be nice if there was more to this than just causing traffic jams, but overall, this game is pretty fun.

The mouse controls are fine, but the firing is a little wierd in this game.

Also, it would have been good to give a list of which are the good characters and which are the evil ones.

I dunno. It wasn't really all that fun for me. Meh.

Good but needs polishing.

This is a great start for a game. It's kinda like space invaders, but yet quite different. It had a goofy sort of feel to it that I enjoyed. Unfortunately it really needs some more work to become a top rating game.

1. Some kind of scoring system would be great.
2. The whole one-shot-on-the-screen-at-a-time deal is a playability killer. I'd fix that first thing.
3. How come after I win, the game keeps going?

All in all this is pretty solid. Good work. I hope you continue to expand on this.

You have produced a fairly solid game here. I was a little disappointed by the lack of complexity in the levels. Apart from having moe than one overflow pipe, the levels really didn't get any more complicated than level 2. Adding some different pipe types (like warps, for instance) or bonuses to have the water collect would have made a big difference in the game.

I am very happy to see that this game did not employ the old "hurry up and give the water a path" technique. Still, I think there is lots of room for improvement.

Nice work on the pipes, by the way. They look great. The moving mask to show the "watered" pipes needs a little tweaking, but the graphics are clean.

It is naive to think you can change people. It is equally naive to think you shouldn't try.
