[Time of your Life]

Patently average

I didn't really find anything too interesting about this movie.

I guess I haven't seen a fully rotoscoped movie in a while, but other than that, this movie really doesn't have much going for it.

Of course the song is good, but it is hard to screw up playing a song. The art is all line drawings, where some backgrounds or other colors throughout the video would have been a nice touch. (yes, I know the last frame is filled, but I wanted more).

I am sure a lot of work went into this and what you have is good, but I think it needs something more to make it great.

[Avoiding Blamnation (HNT)]

Dull.

Although the content of this flash is pretty much right on the mark, the carry-off is really dull.

I would like to have seen some better graphics, something interesting in the background, better animation and, frankly, a non-lock character. Locks are very easy to animate with simple old squash and stretch tweens. Put a little more time in and at least give the character some reasonable animation for goodness sake.

Overall score: Meh.

Alright, considering that I am going to be an author with a decent reputation, I should probably break out of old habits.

Admittedly, I know I am not a great flash artist and I am probably going to take some courses when I get back to college so I can have some skills.

[Dragon Ball Z -Is That OK]

Great movie!

As usual, I find DragonBall Z as stupid as usual. This movie, on the other hand, is great. The art and animation are fantastic. The sound, which I assume is ripped from the show, is very well used.

I also like the extreme energy blast jokes. Those energy blast things are pretty odd/lame overall, so having what's his face worried that what's his other face is going to destory the whole planet is pretty funny stuff.

I don't like DBZ, but I like this movie. (is that okay?)

Absolutley perfect!

Wow. Just wow.

This piece is undoubtedly the best horror movie I have ever seen on Newgrounds ... bar none. I literally had goosebumps and the hair was standing up on the back of my neck when the girl was in the closet. Holy crap, that was good!

The artistic style is fantastic and your use of colors and shadows was absolutely superb. The smooth animation, clever camera angles, and overall timing created tension so real I could hardly stand it.

If this doesn't end up on the front page, I will cry. You should be extremely proud of this.

Beautiful work.

This reminded me so much of Akira and/or The fist of the North Star, I loved it.

The artistic style was quite simple, yet was easily enough to get the point across. I really enjoyed your use of the rack focus between subjects and fast action where applicable. The world you have created appears quite well thought out too ... right down to the cool computer HUDs. Nice.

Overall, this is simply fantastic work. I wouldn't change a thing.

Oh, and cool credits. I like that Masking effect (?) very much.

[Xombie: Chapter 4]

Flawless.

As usual, the Xombie series does not disappoint. Beautiful art, fantastic animation, great sound, cool story. This has it all.

One thing I can't figure out is how our zombie friend can annunciate so well without any lips. It's a mystery for sure.

Excellent work! I'm already looking forward to the next installment.

Good artwork.

You obviously have some artistic and storytelling skills, but I am confused by your technical choices.

The imagery was well done. I liked the camera angles and very much. The music was also a great choice for this piece.

I guess the story was basically tow people who miss each otehr and get back together. It's not a very exciting concept, but you pulled it off pretty well.

This movie would have been a lot better, technically, if it had been created in Flash rather than created as a video clip and imported. That would remove all the artifacts from the art and the fades and drop the filesize a lot. I understand this was your first movie. I'm sure as your Flash abilities grow, your movies will become great.

Keep up the good work. I foresee great things ahead if you keep at it.

Great style!

I really enjoyed this movie.

The artisitic style is great, and the animation is very well done. I like the quick movements and furious action. The movement streaks were appropriately placed and added a lot to the action without requiring a lot more complicated art. Nice.

I will have to agree that the background sound was a little timid compared to the action, but it fits fairly well.

You have impressed me, sir. You have impressed me very much. I hope the rest of your work is as good as this because now I have to go check it all out. :-)
